Will EV charging be more accessible in the end?

By 2025, all large entrepreneurs who already have existing non-residential buildings with more than 20 parking spaces are required to install charging points and channel infrastructure (electric wires and cables) in them.

According to the December amendment to the Polish act on electromobility and alternative fuels, by January 1, 2025, the owners of, among(st) others, shops, shopping malls, hotels, warehouses, office buildings or production plants are forced to install at least one charging point and duct infrastructure in their building to enable the installation of further charging points in the long term – at least one in five parking spaces. The implementation of this requirement will significantly increase the availability of electric car charging points, making everyday life easier for residents. In the longer term, it may also influence the purchasing decisions of consumers who are considering purchasing an electric car.
